A comprehensive evaluation includes information collected from parent/caregiver interview, background/medical history, and formal and informal assessments in order to determine your child's areas of strengths and communication needs. An individualized plan of care will be developed for your child. Parents/caregivers will have the opportunity to review results, learn more about their child’s diagnosis and treatment plan, and ask questions of the speech-language pathologist once the detailed evaluation report has been completed. Our speech-language pathologist provides diagnostic evaluation for a variety of diagnoses in the areas of:
Childhood Apraxia of Speech
Individual Therapy Sessions
Every child's treatment plan will be individually devised based on their communication needs. Treatment will include evidence based therapeutic techniques and multi-sensory activities developed to include your child's interests. Speech therapy may be recommended once to twice weekly depending on the results of the initial evaluation. Therapy sessions are 30 – 45 minutes each session, and is contingent upon the type of intervention your child will receive.
